Storage that is not a cookie
The results grid keeps your most recent car search in your browser's own local storage for a few minutes. Every page on this website runs the same search when it loads, so caching the answer on your device stops the same request going out four times while you read. That entry never leaves your browser, is not sent to us, contains no personal data, and disappears when you clear site data. Your browser's own storage controls cover it in the same way they cover cookies.
Cookies set by other companies
Two third parties can place storage through this website. The content delivery and security network in front of the site may set a strictly necessary identifier used to tell real visitors from automated traffic. The booking platform sets its own referral cookie at the moment you open an offer, which is what tells it your booking came from here. Those companies act as controllers for what they set, under their own notices.
Turning them off
Every modern browser can block cookies, delete the ones already stored, or refuse third party cookies specifically. Those settings live under privacy or site data in Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, and on a phone the same controls sit in the browser's settings screen rather than in the operating system. Blocking the strictly necessary category will leave the language selector and the search form unable to remember anything within a visit, which makes the site awkward rather than broken.
